Step by step description of the activity / content
Scenery presentation
One of the most recognized technological companies in the country has selected some young people who must proposed a technological product which can at least supply two needs observed in daily life. Lots of people had been called, so it is a hard competition. Each group will represent to the aspirants. (5 minutes).
Student’s work
The students must discuss and investigate on the internet the most relevant aspects of the fictional product created with their partners.
Main session activity.
Students will have time enough to investigate and discuss the product design
and which need or problem will resolve with their equipment.
(15 minutes).
Students work
The students must design their product and present it by selecting the appropriated images and data.
Main activity
Students will develop their presentation in Pecha Kucha format, in which an automatic presentation of 20 images is established, with a 20 seconds duration per each of them. (20x20).
As long as the images advance, the presenter must develop his presentation in a dynamic form, making emphasis in the essential part.
(20 minutes)
Evaluation
The students must develop a product presentation to the rest of their partners, which will be evaluated for them and their supervisor.
The format of the presentation must be in Pecha Kucha, consequently the length of each presentation will be of 6 minutes and 40 seconds.
Feedback
Each user must complete a survey to evaluate the session and the acquired learning, to develop new proposals and to provide their opinions.Assessment & Evaluation
An evaluation guide will be completed to investigate aspects such as:
- Work group ability.
- Problem resolution abilities.
- Proposal innovation and creativity.
- Communication skills: when the product is presented to the rest of participants.
- Technology use skills: Internet and software presentation.
